Where Bloggers Create Deux (II)

Where I Create!

I usually work in our breakfast room. I can work at our dining table and still be accessible to my children. They often create along with me afterschool and on week-ends or they just pull up a chair to visit.

I keep most of my items in our buffet and two small rolling carts which I can push back in the corner when not in use. My collection of bits and sweetness are stored in a built in glass cupboard. I also put small vignettes in my Pottery Barn mail sorter. I can enjoy looking into the little cubes or find the perfect piece for a project I may be working on.

What I especially love about this space is all the windows.I was lucky enough to design this room myself when we rebuilt our house. Along with the three walls of windows, the warm yellow paint and the sun, this cheery room always inspires me. Thanks for visiting!

Sounds like you have figured out how to have a portable space. I love that you share your space with your kids. I'm sure someday they will look back with fondest memories of those times together. Thank you for sharing your space.

If there is one thing I could complain about in my apartment (although its a great size with high ceilings) its the lack of light. Your space by the window looks like heaven. Thanks for sharing!

I was a Kitchen table crafter for years - never new that wasn't where every one crafted till much later in life. You look like you got yours under control and nicely organized.

What a great space. It is so nice that it is workable with your kids. The light in the room (wonderful windows) makes me swoon. What ai would give for that. You have done a nice job of organizing with beautiful bottles and jars.

If you wish, come and visit our blog. My thirty-year-old daughter and I have been making jewelry together for fifteen years. She just gave the blog to me three months ago as a gift. I was thrilled! We are loving it!

Love your little space and your crate that looks like it held soda pops at one time. love the standings unit with all the cubby holes! Nice that you can create and enjoy your little ones at the same time and make them feel includes. That is very Special and something they will always remember. Thanks for sharing. XOXO

Valerie, I enjoyed viewing your creative space tonight. I remember when my children were small, I too had to create at the table. Otherwise I could always count on them to be creating their own little messes everywhere in the house. I feel it is important for women to be able to craft or sew and I think it is good for our children to see us do it.

Hi Valerie, yes I am still making my rounds, visiting creative spaces, and will be for several months, LOL.
Love your diningroom all those windows and that view, I can see why you like to create in that room, I would, too.
Come on over for a visit at Big Horn Mountain Creations. I have gained alot of inspiration from those I have visited and expect to find more as I make my way down the list.
Thanks for sharing your space.

You are so lucky to have such lovely natural light - my space is in the basement with no windows. I'm glad you create with your kids too because you're making memories for them to treasure. Thanks for having us over!
